As one of Utah’s only board-certified periodontists, Dr. Jason Nicholson prides himself not only on the world-class results he’s known for but also on his ability to relate to patients on a personal level and deliver fully customized results and truly brilliant smiles. Dr. Nicholson earned his dental training at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and a specialty in periodontics at the University’s Graduate Periodontics program. He is committed to providing exceptional care to his patients, and his dedication to excellence is demonstrated by his pursuit of board certification in periodontics.
Dr. Nicholson’s philosophy for optimal results is rooted in a personal connection to understand the whole patient and their path to complete oral health. With memberships in esteemed organizations such as the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, and the Utah Dental Association, Dr. Nicholson is recognized as a leader in his field.
Dr. Rey started his journey to becoming a periodontist right here at Sundance Implant and Periodontal Center, where he worked as Dr. Nicholson’s assistant. His desire to take on a dental assisting job before starting dental school led him to join the practice years ago, where he had the opportunity to learn directly from Dr. Nicholson.
Now, years later after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Utah School of Dentistry and completing an Advanced Dental Education Program in Periodontics at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry he has returned to care for patients at the very practice where it all began.
Dr. Lillian is a board certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon. He began his training at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. This was followed by a 1-year internship in oral surgery at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, TX. Following this, he practiced general dentistry for 5 years before deciding to further his training in oral surgery. He then completed a residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. During residency he gained experience in the full scope of oral surgery including wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, diagnosis and treatment of oral pathology, facial trauma, TMJ and corrective jaw surgery. He also has extensive training and experience with office-based anesthesia and is licensed to provide the full range of IV anesthesia to his patients.
